Freelance technical news stories for the IEEE Computer Society
The world's largest professional society for computer science and engineering, IEEE Computer Society, is looking for news story writers for its technical magazines. Feature news stories run 1,500-2,500 words, and News Briefs run 500-1,500 words.
Requirements:
Writers must be willing to work with editors on rewrites, as required to get the right focus for an international, professional readership. The stories address topics, usually technology developments, of interest to professional readers around the world. Magazine editors will assign the stories and suggest sources, but writers should be comfortable with computer science and engineering topics.
