1970-1975: "A.Hertzen" State Pedagogical Institute, Leningrad, (now - State Pedagogical University), Department of Foreign Languages. Degree: Teacher of English and German (diploma cum laudo)
1978: "Intourist" State Travel Agency, Training Course for Guides. Coursework: History, Arts, Architecture, Political Science, Public Relations, Economics etc.

1992-1999: Translator/Interpreter, Dresdner Bank Rep. Office/BNP-Dresdner Bank in St.Petersburg. Participating in business negotiations, translating business and banking documents from English and German into Russian and vice versa.

1978-1992: Tour guide/Interpreter for "Intourist" (Leningrad Office of Russian State Travel Agency for Foreign Tourism). Guiding English and German speaking foreign guests around the city and its museums, interpreting at international conferences and negotiations, travelling around the former Soviet Union and abroad (Germany, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Portugal, Egypt etc.) as a guide/interpreter

1975-1977: Teacher of English and German at a military academy in Leningrad
