Sr. Technical Trainer
Riverbed Technology is the leader in wide-area data services (WDS), a fast-growing product category that enables distributed organizations to accelerate applications, consolidate IT infrastructure and simplify IT management processes. The Steelhead appliance simultaneously addresses network, application and storage limitations in order to provide orders-of-magnitude improvements in application performance. Riverbed’s Steelhead appliances provide the highest level of performance across the broadest range of applications over WANs, accelerating applications by up to 100 times, and reducing WAN traffic by up to 95%.

The Senior Technical Trainer is responsible for working with subject matter experts to develop and deliver training programs to internal and external audiences on Riverbed Technology's award winning products.
Location: San Francisco & UK London
Responsibilities include:
• Working with customers/partners, as well as technical and non-technical subject matter experts to determine training needs, develop curriculum and materials, and deliver training to both technical and sales audiences
• Work with cross-departmental teams to ensure successful implementation and coordination of new training materials
• Communicate technical and process content in simple, concise written and verbal form
• 50% travel will be required
Qualifications:
• BA/BS, or the equivalent experience.
• Strong background on Networking products
• Knowledge of TCP/IP
• Knowledge of WAN accelerators helpful but not required
• Knowledge of UNIX helpful but not required
• 3+ years developing and delivering technical training programs
• Experience in curriculum development
• Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Highly organized and motivated, with excellent follow-through, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
• Work independently, while remaining an effective and efficient member of cross-functional teams.
• Technical competence in Networking and/or Storage technologies
