Description
NetGI is in search of an entry level applications developer to become a member of its development team. Position offers a great opportunity to learn and work in different technologies. Seeking a flexible, eager candidate that will jump in and help where ever needed.
The successful candidate will develop current and future web and windows based applications based on the companys clients needs. Solutions will be developed utilizing Microsoft technologies, specifically the .NET FCL, ASP.NET, VB.NET, Visual Studio.NET, web services, XML, SOAP and SQL Server. In this position, the candidate will be trained to produce formal design specifications, develop solutions based on approved specifications, understand the importance of quality assurance, troubleshoot issues with current applications and work closely with the project manager to meet timelines.
The ideal candidate will have exposure to C#, .Net and SQL Server
Responsibilities
Develop web and windows based solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies
Generate formal design specifications based on stakeholder feedback documentation and meetings
Work within the development team to communicate system design
Work with project management to generate end user documentation
Develop code based on company standards
Understand working within a formal Software Development Life Cycle
Understand the importance of quality assurance in the development lifecycle
Co-responsibility for maintenance and support of current applications (objective is to resolve issues with the long-term solution in mind)
Requirements/Skills
The ability to create solutions from problems
A passion for developing, the development process and Microsoft technologies
Bachelor degree from an accredited university or graduating in the 2007/2008 semesters
Advertising/Media knowledge is a plus
