Q4B is recruiting for a leading provider of enterprise management solutions that help companies manage their IT infrastructure from a business perspective. Their solutions cover enterprise systems, applications, and database and service management. Our customer was founded in 1980, has offices worldwide and posted fiscal 2006 revenues of more than $1.49 billion.
Due to growth and expansion, our customer, is seeking qualified and experienced Revenue Recognition Accountants to join and support the team at the European Headquarters in Berlin, Germany. As a Revenue Recognition Accountant, you will review and analyze software license and services revenue contracts and document significant terms and accounting conclusions.
As a Revenue Recognition Professional, you will:
· Function as one of the technical experts to the existing staff on revenue recognition, particularly focusing on Statement of Position 97-2 (SOP 97-2)
· Review contracts and write up summaries ensuring they are in compliance with US GAAP
· Prepare final revenue recognition accounting conclusions
· Assist in support of quarterly review and annual audit
· Provide consultation to territory managers during the sales cycles and provide yearly training courses to the sales reps
Skills and Requirements needed:
· Must speak and write in English since the business is conducted in English, and multi language skills are a plus.
· Degree required: Accounting / Finance degree, CPA, BBA or MBA, etc.
· 3+ years accounting experience working in the Technology Industry, Enterprise Software Industry, a plus
· Understanding of Revenue Recognition in accordance with US GAAP (SAB 104 and SOP 97-2)
· Experience in software industry revenue recognition, specifically working with licenses and duration of contracts
· Strong financial reporting and accounting skills, Internal Audit experience a plus
