We have an immediate need for a senior-level Copywriter with Consumer and B-to-B experience. This is an independent contract opportunity.
We are a fast growing full service marketing agency thriving off of the energy from our team and clients to deliver smart marketing and high energy in whatever we do. Responsibilities:
1. Develop creative, strategic, brand appropriate copy for all marketing materials and website.
2. Manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
3. Ability to take direction whether clear or unclear and ask the critical questions to build a working outline and take the outline and deliver clear and concise messaging.
4. Work closely with various departments including but not limited to Sales, Marketing, and Web Development.
5. Serve as a primary copywriter, editor, and internal consultant for developed materials, while supporting Marketing, Communications, Web Development and/or Public Relations.
6. Plan, research, write, edit, and proofread written materials for a variety of formats: print, web/electronic, audio (voice over), visual, etc.
7. Follow editorial guidelines.
8. Meet editorial and production deadlines.
Qualifications:
1. BA degree in English, journalism, communications, design, marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 5+ yrs of professional experience in marketing or communications.
3. Extremely detail oriented and organized.
4. Excellent proofreader.
5. Previous journalism or copywriting experience, preferably in advertising, retail, or direct marketing.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a clear eye for basic formatting and design.
7. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Photoshop, and PowerPoint – MS SharePoint is a plus.
8. Capacity to be productive and efficient in a high volume environment.
9. The love for working in a start up environment with the willingness to roll up your sleeves to help on other marketing projects.
10. Can do attitude.
