At Fluid, we design and build online retail experiences that drive conversion and build customer satisfaction. Our recent clients include Design Within Reach, Reebok, and Timberland. We are also the interactive agency of THE NORTH FACE® Brand Apparel and Jansport.
We're seeking a full-time Lead Flash Engineer with strong internet engineering skills, retail e-commerce development and client interface experience. Some experience with Java is preferred.
DUTIES:
• Design and develop data-driven Flash UI's using traditional software development methodologies.
• Create documented code that can be understood and reused by other software engineers.
• Work with visual designers and other Flash engineers to design complex user interfaces and data interactions.
• Produce technical specification and requirements documents.
• Potentially assist with server-side development.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 6 years programming experience (Actionscript and/or Java are preferred).
• Minimum 2 years Flash experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Actionscript, Flash MX components, and XML.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Work well with our roll-your-sleeves up, work hard and have fun, egalitarian culture.
PREFERRED:
• Experience with tools and technologies related to Flash, such as Flash Remoting, Flash Communication Server, Macromedia Director, third-party Flash projectors, SVG, etc. CDROM and web application development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Visual Arts, or related field
Fluid designs and develops award-winning, richly interactive digital retail experiences, both online and offline. Our clients include Reebok, Timberland, JanSport, Design Within Reach and The North Face etc.
